This mount fits (including but not limited to):
Firearms with a traditional Novak cut rear sight.

Please note, some manufacturers use licensed Novak rear sights. These are cut to the manufacturer’s spec and are NOT GENUINE/traditional/true Novak rear sight cuts. One of the most common manufacturers to do this is Taurus. Ruger also uses smaller Novak rear sights on their fixed sight revolvers. Our mount will NOT fit these applications since they are not a traditional/true Novak cut. We do not offer any options for those applications. Please refer to Novak’s site and/or call the manufacturer of your firearm to confirm that you have a GENUINE Novak cut, not a licensed Novak cut.

Please note: Trijicon recommends the use of a sealing plate to prevent water from entering their red dot

CZ 75 Bull Shadow

Our red dot sights are meant to be installed from the left to the right (with the muzzle facing forward). The dovetail has a progressive taper to allow for easier install.

Simply remove the rear sight on your gun and replace it with our mount in order to mount your Trijicon RMR red dot sight. You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included. Minor modification may be neccessary for Rock Islands. Our products should be installed and checked by a qualified and competent gunsmith.

Installation Instructions
– Remove the rear sight*
– Install the EGW Sight Mount in the dovetail
– Tighten set screw (if applicable)
– Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount
(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)
– Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws
– Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbs

The screws that are included with this mount require a 5/64” allen wrench for installation.

These bases sit at approximately 0.35″ high.

This mount comes standard with a bevel on both sides making it ambidextrous.

This mount does NOT fit the 212
The 212 mount is available here Our Savage bases will work with any long action round back Savage rifle with an ejection port. It is also compatible with the Stevens Long actions.

The round back on this mount will accommodate rounded receivers, and guns that have an accu-trigger.

Savages without an accu-trigger will require our flat back mount (listed separately).

Our mount is drilled for and provided with 6-48 Hex Head screws. Some Long Action Savage guns (like the .338 Lapua or 110 BA) require 8-40 screws. We recommend the HD Savage Round Back Long Action part #80330 or #80332 for these. Our mount is counter-sunk for 8-40 screws. We are happy to provide 8-40 screws in place of the 6-48 screws at no additional charge, if you are capable of modifying the mount yourself. For a $10 manual charge, we are happy to drill the mount to accomodate the 8-40 screws for you. This manual work will delay the shipping of your order by approximately 3 weeks & you will need to contact EGW to place your order over the phone.

The takedown hole in the guide rod allows for easy disassembly/reassembly.
The head of the guide rod has smooth beveled edges to make for a seamless look.
All kits are drop-in.

This guide rod kit is made for the Rock Island Compact. You will need to fit the lugs on the top of the plug (shown in alternate image).

This kit does not work in a Metro Arms Compact.
This kit uses a 1/4″ diameter guide rod, flat wire ISMI spring, and our fully machined reverse plug. The spring that comes packaged with the kit is a 16lb, which works perfect for 9mm.

This kit reduces recoil and increases longevity of the spring system in Springfield 4″ guns.
If you have a .45 ACP or .40 S&W you will need the kit with the 22lb flat wire spring available here.
The kit includes a 1/4″ guide rod, reverse plug and ISMI flat recoil spring.
All systems use a 1/4″ guide rod made from solid barstock with a take down hole.
Reverse plugs are Blued carbon steel.
Meant for use in Springfield 4” 9mm 1911’s only.
All kits are drop-in.

In independent testing, ISMI spring have endured in excess of 100,000 compression cycles. We don’t recommend going that long between changes however. With an ISMI spring, practice routine maintenance and change it once a year.

Mounting Hardware is Included

This mount fits:
Smith & Wesson Revolver

Our mount will fit K, L, N, and X frames.

The bolt pattern on this mount fits factory drilled Smith & Wesson revolvers. The mount is also available undrilled, to accommodate unconventional bolt patterns.

Swing the cylinder out on your gun and look under the top strap. If you see the holes under the sight, through the top strap, your gun is factory drilled and tapped. Our mount fits snugly into the rear sight cut and has a recoil shoulder, unlike some mounts that are simply radiused to fit the top radius and do not go into the rear sight cut.

If your top strap is not already drilled and tapped (pictured above), our mount will not work with your gun. You can have a competent and qualified gunsmith drill and tap the top strap with the standard S&W hole pattern which will allow you to use our mount.
