Evolution Gun Works
Browning BLR Short Action
Browning BLR Takedown
In October 2019 the overall length of this mount was changed from 5.488″ to 5.094″ to accommodate takedown models. If you purchase a mount from a third party seller there is a chance it may be older and not fit your takedown.
We have found that older model BLRs may use the long action rail despite the caliber. Please measure your hole spacing to confirm.
*The center spread is the distance between the two middle holes, center to center, on your receiver.
All action lengths are available in 0 or 20 MOA. Please see our FAQ page for further information on MOA.
We recommend:
0 MOA – if shooting 0-500 yards
20 MOA – if shooting 500-1000 yards
When zeroing your rifle with a 20 MOA mount, we recommend zeroing at 200 yards.
Custom silver anodizing is available upon request, for an additional charge of $15 (a lead time of approximately 3 months is also associated with this custom anodizing. Please call us if you are interested in placing a custom order).
Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount, weighing in at 2-3oz on average. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. EGW’s one piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike.
This mount is a Picatinny-style base and compatible with Picatinny or Weaver scope rings.
Add EGW’s Practical or HD Scope Rings to make it a complete overhaul!
We machine these in our shop using one of our USA-made Fadal machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability.
The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA.
Installation: EGW recommends 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately).
